We are looking for a high-performing assistant escrow officer to join our well-established team! Our ideal candidate will have some experience managing real estate transactions and escrow closings (real estate or mortgage processing backgrounds encouraged) with fine attention to detail, superb problem-solving and communication skills, and team spirit. Responsibilities:• Assist escrow officers with closing documents such as deed packets, settlement statements, escrow files, and closing statements• Understand all contracts, commitments, and lender and escrow instructions to ensure completion for a timely escrow close• Oversee proper accounting procedures are used when depositing and removing earnest money funds and final disbursement from the escrow account• Assume other pre-closing and post-closing tasks as directed• Communicate with title insurance representatives, insurance company representatives, loan officers, escrow processors and team members, title company, real estate agents, and clients to assist the escrow officer in the closing process• Perform administrative and clerical duties for the escrow officer to complete escrow transactions and necessary follow-up requests Qualifications:• Must have previous clerical, secretarial, and administrative support experience• Some college is preferred -- high school diploma or GED required• Strong experience with Microsoft Office required, escrow software experience preferred• Exceptional problem-solving, customer service, time management, and communications skills• 2-3 years of residential or commercial escrow assistant experience preferred Compensation: $15 - $20 hourly About Company: Tallgrass Title is a full-service title insurance and escrow company that serves Kansas.
