We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Controller to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and contributing to the overall success of our plant operations.Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of financial reporting, analysis, and control for the plant.Develop and maintain financial budgets, forecasts, and projections in alignment with corporate objectives.Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize plant performance and profitability.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as required by management.Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling and analysis.Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred.5+ years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.Expert in working with Excel; strong proficiency and consistent user of PowerPoint and Word (as well as the rest of MS Office Suite).Proven track record of financial leadership and strategic thinking.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.Knowledge of US GAAP and experience with financial reporting requirements.
