What will you do in this role: This exciting opportunity will allow you to work with the Delrin ® product development team to support fundamental research and aid in customer inquiries. You will work closely with Delrin ® scientists to execute analytical testing to deliver innovative customer solutions. You will provide technical support to help the team solve problems and demonstrate leadership skills to manage workstreams. At Delrin ® , you will play a crucial role in new product development programs and customer support to discover the next generation of Delrin ® products which will directly impact business performance. As innovation grows, so can you. Key Responsibilities: Operate analytical testing equipment such as FTIR, gas and liquid chromatography, optical microscope, TGA, DSC, tensile and impact testing, and melt flow index. Follow standard operating procedures for sample preparation/testing and adhere to all safety requirements for experiments and equipment. Adapt known testing methods to established equipment and develop/implement new testing methods to support research and development. Troubleshoot instrument problems and facilitate repairs/maintenance. Document and organize laboratory work, results, and data. Ideal Profile: Educational Background : bachelor’s or associate degree, preferably in relevant STEM fields (chemistry, engineering, or other field). 2+ years of relevant industry experience in analytical testing. Passion for working safely and efficiently. Self-motivated, eager to learn new skills, and has a practiced ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and plan responsibilities. Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbally and written). Proficient computer skills with Microsoft applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Microsoft Teams Meetings. Knowledge or working experience with polymers is preferred, but not required. Based in Wilmington, Delaware. We offer: A challenging position within an entrepreneurial, independent company.
