Your day to day as a Therapist -SUD Outpatient Program As a Therapist in our SUD Outpatient Program, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group therapy sessions for clients with substance use disorders. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients. Daily tasks include conducting therapy sessions, documenting client progress, participating in case consultations, and staying current on best practices in addiction treatment.You will also have the opportunity to attend training and continuing education to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge in the field of substance use disorders. To excel in the role of Therapist in our SUD Outpatient Program at Wasatch Behavioral Health, strong communication skills and empathy are vital. The ability to conduct therapy sessions effectively, build rapport with clients, and collaborate with a diverse team is essential. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred to effectively communicate with a broader range of clients. Experience in substance use treatment is a definite plus, as it demonstrates a deep understanding of addiction and recovery principles. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and other relevant software tools is beneficial for documenting client progress and treatment plans accurately.A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, coupled with a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach, will contribute to your success in helping individuals overcome substance use disorders.Knowledge and skills required for the position are:Graduation from a college or university with a Master's degree in social work, psychology or a related field and:Fully Licensed Therapist recognition in the State of Utah as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW),Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)For Underfill: Associate Licensed Therapist recognition in the state of Utah as one of the following: Certified Social Worker (CSW), Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) Spanish Speaking preferred.
