Job Summary We are seeking anAnimal Care Associateto work part:time on weekendsin ourGEMS:Breed Departmentlocated inWilmington, MA. You must be able to work both Saturday and Sunday, a 4:6 hour shift each day. TheAnimal Care Associatewill maintain and monitor the health, production, and physical environment of Charles River or external customer animals (rodents) within isolators, micro:isolator caging and/or ventilated cage systems. This position starts off as temporary with the potential to become a regular CRL employee. Benefits include: :A shift differential for all hours worked on the weekend:Paid sick time:Paid Volunteer Time off:401K Participation:Use of our onsite gym ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: :Perform animal husbandry which will include feeding, watering and cleaning cages.:Implement breeding and sampling procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.:Maintain physical environment cleanliness, biosecurity and accurate department/animal records within the internal database system.:Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operating equipment and supplies per safety and ergonomic guidelines.:Complete other duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: :Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.:No experience needed. Training will be provided.:Must have a reliable form of transportation.:Must be able to work both Saturdays and Sundays. The pay rate for this position is 18.00 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
