Job Security: Join a growing team, providing stability and opportunities for career advancement. About the Position: Help build our new newborn medicine practice in our UPMC Carlisle Hospital. Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will provide care to infants and children. Perform well-baby and child physical exams and access for illness, order diagnostic tests, create treatment plans, and administer treatments. Communicate with parents and guardians regarding the state and treatment of their children. Work alongside team of skilled physicians, neonatal nurse practitioners, and allied health staff. Job Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an Accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with Board Certification (ANCC), BCLS, PALS (ACLS and NALS optional). Experience in Pediatrics in either: inpatient or critical care. Will need to apply for prescriptive authority with the PA Board of Nursing. Must be eligible to apply for a DEA number.
