Position Overview:Blue Oaks Church is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to serve as the Pastor of Spiritual Formation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, vision, and direction for all aspects of spiritual formation within our congregation. This role will involve designing and implementing programs, classes, and experiences that facilitate spiritual growth among members of all ages and stages of faith.Key Responsibilities: Spiritual Formation Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the spiritual formation ministries of Blue Oaks Church. Curriculum Development: Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum and resources for discipleship, spiritual growth, and formation, tailored to various age groups and spiritual maturity levels. Teaching and Preaching: Deliver engaging and relevant teaching and preaching on spiritual formation topics during worship services, classes, and special events. Small Group Ministry: Oversee the development and coordination of small groups, ensuring that they provide opportunities for deeper connection, accountability, and spiritual growth. Mentorship and Discipleship: Equip and empower leaders within the congregation to mentor and disciple others effectively. Collaboration: Collaborate with other church staff members and ministry leaders to integrate spiritual formation principles into all areas of church life. Personal Growth: Continuously pursue personal and professional growth in the areas of theology, spiritual formation, leadership, and pastoral care. Administration: Manage the budget, resources, and administrative tasks related to the spiritual formation ministry. Qualifications: A deep personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to the mission and values of Blue Oaks Church. Ordained or licensed minister with a recognized theological education (M.Div. or equivalent preferred). Proven experience in pastoral ministry, with a focus on spiritual formation, discipleship, and teaching. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to cast vision, build teams, and implement strategies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead volunteers effectively. A heart for serving others and a passion for seeing lives transformed by the power of the gospel.
