Job Overview:The Litigation Product Liability Associate Attorney will play a pivotal role in trial preparation, research, drafting, and legal proceedings. They will handle a diverse range of responsibilities related to product liability cases, demonstrating exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills. Duties:Engage in all facets of trial preparation, including strategy formulation, discovery, record analysis, client interviews, and witness preparationConduct comprehensive research on legal issues, individuals, businesses, and worksitesDraft briefs, memos, and client communicationsAttend depositions, hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedingsTravel nationwide for legal proceedings, client meetings, and other occasions up to 20% of the time, sometimes on short notice Requirements:Active license and good standing with the New York State Bar3-8 years of experience in defense litigation, preferably involving product liability or toxic exposuresAdditional bar admissions are a plus Education Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Skills:Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and prioritize efficientlyHigh degree of independence and initiative, coupled with the ability to work seamlessly within a team-oriented setting This law firm represents small businesses and individuals in high risk litigation cases across the United States.
