The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor degree and be admitted to practice law in the various State and Federal Courts of Louisiana. Certificate(s) of Good Standing from appropriate governing bodies are required.Job Overview:Provide high-quality and cost-effective legal representation to clients in Defense Litigation matters.Duties:Handle case intake, including initial client meetings and assessments.Develop and manage case budgets.Conduct legal research and analysis.Provide legal advice and counsel to clients.Prepare and file legal documents.Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and settlements.Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motions practice, and trial preparation.Draft appellate briefs and argue cases on appeal when necessary.Maintain accurate and detailed case records and reports.Requirements:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.Admission to practice law in the various State and Federal Courts of Louisiana.Certificate(s) of Good Standing from appropriate governing bodies.Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.Attention to detail and accuracy.Commitment to providing excellent client service.Skills:Legal research and writing.Case management and organization.Negotiation and dispute resolution.Trial preparation and advocacy.Client communication and relationship-building.Time management and prioritization.
