Greater Valley YMCA is looking to hire a Personal Trainer! Personal Trainer Salary : $20 - 23 per hour Personal Trainer Hours : Any days, flexible hours (part-time) Personal Trainer Responsibilities : Conducts personal training sessions including consultations and exercise programming Monitors and maintains an inviting, clean and safe environment while assisting members with exercise techniques Coaches members in support of their desired behavior change Regularly checks on member progress and answers questions related to goal achievement Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members Conducts post-enrollment interviews to understand new members definition of wellbeing, goals, cultural background, healthcare needs, diverse abilities and interests, and develops plans to meet individual needs Accurately track client sessions by following YMCA protocols and ACSM guidelines Follows YMCA policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned Personal Trainer Qualifications : Certified Personal Training certification required (NASM, ACE, ACSM or equivalent) CPR, AED and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire One year of personal training experience preferred Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field highly preferred Ability to adapt to member needs and goals Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals.
