Your Accountabilities in the Role: You will design and create layouts, prints, and drawings that accurately reflect the vision or design expectations of the customer to ensure accurate fabrication of new or redesigned vehicles. You will assist the technical writing area by drafting illustrations that will accurately demonstrate the assembly or product information needed for customer material. You will create Bill of Materials for all new/enhanced products to ensure efficient purchasing and assembly. You will communicate, collaborate, and interface with Engineering and Technical Writing to assist in problem resolution/re-design solutions throughout the stage-gate process. You will evaluate productivity tools, systems, and processes continually to create enhancements and increased efficiencies within the area. Position Requirements: Education: High School Diploma with education or training in Drafting/Design, Engineering, Technology, CAD Design, or similar field; or equivalent combination of education and course work will be considered Experience: 2+ years of advanced AutoCAD/Solid Works designing and drafting experience in specialty vehicle, RV, high end living trailers, bus, boat or similar manufacturing type environment that has created blueprints that include AC/DC voltage, bathrooms, plumbing, cabinetry, generators, and bodies for chassis. Certification(s): CAD certifications are a plus but not required. Functional Skills: Proficient AutoCAD Designing and Drafting skillset, detail-oriented and thorough with the ability to complete projects on time; can look at the big picture and conceptualize outcomes to get things done well and maximize efficiencies for the area and on the production floor; high level of prioritization, organization, and planning skills required; strong mechanical aptitude also needed. Able to problem-solve and manage projects independently. Technology Skills: Proficient skillset in Inventor AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other similar AutoCAD/Modeling Software experience; also proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel). Language Skills: Good verbal and written communication skillset to work with various levels within the organization. Advanced skills in technical writing preferred. Leadership/Behaviors: Must be motivated with high-energy and customer-focused; can work collaboratively and independently, and is creative and innovative for the design of new products while staying within legal and safety guidelines. Other Important Information: Pay/Salary : The Salary is flexible for the right person. And, the compensation will grow as the business grows! Reports To: Director of Operations Core Hours: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (Will work approx. 8 - 9 hours within this timeframe) Typical Work Week: M-F typically; 40 - 45 hours a week on average Direct Reports: NA Travel: NA Work Environment : Production environment COVID Protocol : No Special Protocol; Individuals can wear masks if desired
