Physician Assistant physician job in Connecticut : SPECIALTY: PA-Neuro Surgery * * LOCATION: Farmington, CT * * JOB TYPE: LOCUMS ** JOB NUMBER: 47110 * * SCHEDULE / OPEN NEEDS: 8hr / 10hr /12hr shifts available -ASAP and ongoing! DESCRIPTION: For inpatient, it can range anywhere from 5-20+ patients on the census, typically is in the 8-16 range. They would be on with another provider during the day. For clinics, they typically range 12-24 patients a day depending on the attending being covered Surgery Assists attending surgeon and operating room personnel as needed to prepare patient for surgery. Performs first assist duties in the following: neurosurgery, spine, and craniotomies of types; close both deep and superficial wounds. Writes post-operative orders according to the patients care plan and consistent with the standard of care. Effectively communicates the relevant clinical information to the post-operative staff. Hospital- Independently conducts daily hospital rounds and neurosurgical surgical bedside procedures.
