Primary Role The Station Operator may be assigned to perform any responsibility that lies within the capability of the employee based on experience, knowledge, qualifications, and training. There are 2 positions available. This position is a union position with New Jersey American Water and the starting pay rate is 36.34 per hour. This position may be eligible for annual incentive pay and contracted increases as determined by the collective bargaining agreement, and you will have the opportunity for continued salary growth.In addition to compensation, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), Defined Contribution Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, medical, prescription, dental and vision coverage, plus disability, paid time off, life insurance, voluntary benefits, health and wellness programs and much more American Water employees also receive learning opportunities and work experiences to grow professionally. Key Accountabilities:Collects process control samples, as directed. Performs water treatment tests and evaluates water samples, as directed, to ensure process water quality is within established parameters and, if necessary, adjusts treatment process to ensure the integrity of the water supply.:Operates water treatment facilities and related appurtenances including, but not limited to, chemical feeders, pumps, purification units, and standby generation and residual processing equipment to ensure the safe, reliable production and delivery of the highest quality water.:Assists with repai
