May operate heavy machinery. Key Accountabilities:Frequently repairs/replaces water lines/mains which include thefollowing::Requires constant standing and walking on uneven andslippery surfaces.:Uses pry bar to open lid to the valve.:Kneels onthe asphalt. Heavy grasping of pry bar.:Wrist deviation and elbowflexion and extension, trunk and neck flexion.:Uses ladders to climbdown into holes.:Uses key (30) to open/close the valve.:Holds ontohandle at waist heights and turns valve.Heavy grasp, wrist deviationand elbow flexion/extension with shoulder flexion and internal/externalrotation.:Puts sleeves on the main and tightens by hand using awrench.:This task requires trunk and neck flexion, side bending,crouching and squatting, and kneeling.:May lay on their stomach orsides on the ground. Uses backhoe to dig the hole however they mayhave to hand shovel on a frequent basis.:Trunk and neck flexion, elbowflexion and extension, shoulder flexion and heavy grasping. 2 personlift/carry shoring from truck to hole.
