Job Summary The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting - Corporate Accruals will be responsible to record and reconcile the company's corporate costs to ensure accurate and timely reporting of cost accruals. Responsible for completing estimates and recording costs and accruals for corporate departments, including marketing, HR, Tax, Legal, FP&A, Transaction Svcs, Accounting and Call Center costs. The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will work with a team of accounting professionals to support an accurate and efficient close for Corporate Departments and will be involved to contribute insignificant/judgemental areas of RTX.Base pay range: $70000 - $90000 / year Key Performance Indicators Accurate and timely completion of corporate cost accruals Successfully partners with corporate teams to analyze costs, estimate cost accruals, investigate variances and identify trends to increase accuracy in accruals, budgeting and forecasting results. No significant out-of-period adjustments No audit findings and adherence to maintain strong internal controls Principal Duties and Responsibilities The Corporate Accounting Senior will complete the following responsibilities: Prepare journal entries, accurate account reconciliations and analysis to ensure a timely,accurate and efficient month-end close process of the general ledger Track, record and reconcile the company's corporate costs to accurately record and accruefinancial transactions and develop accurate methods for forecasting costs. Responsible for analyzing corporate cost data, identifying cost components, and developing costtrend analysis to improve reporting and methods of ensuring proper corporate cost accruals. Complete variance analysis of actual vs budget and forecast results. Summarize cost varianceexplanations to help drive improved performance in forecasting and cost recognition. Complete work to record and reconcile various intercompany transactions and intercompanyaccount balances between multiple Rentokil affiliates and maintain proper intercompanyreporting. Responsible for initiating the intercompany payment process. Helps coordinate theprocess to complete the Group intercompany billing process for rebilling company costs Work with a team of finance professionals to complete an accurate and efficient close forcorporate cost reporting. Responsible for tracking and recording unclaimed property amounts to summarize and report toTax for customers, payroll and accounts payable unclaimed balances held. Assists to record company debt and equity accounting transactions, excluding Group Loans, toensure accurate and timely reporting. Provide detailed analysis and insight to accounting leadership and various functions to supportgrowth initiatives in the business Involved to help coordinate and complete work requested by external and internal audit teams.Work with internal and external auditors in conjunction with the annual audit to provide accurateand timely information. Applies significant judgement to develop cost estimates and liability accruals. Analyzes source data information to identify trends or variances to provide further insight intodeveloping events. Partner with FP&A to ensure accurate reporting, forecast, analysis, and results. Meet regularly with corporate cost teams and legal to discuss significant matters such asoutstanding costs, future initiatives, open contingencies, environmental and ARO liabilities. Ensure controls are in compliance with company policy Recommend areas of efficiency, automation and acceleration for close process Review account reconciliations and prepare detailed fluctuation analysis for accountingleadership Work closely with team to identify potential process improvements and capabilities to increaseconsistency, transparency, and reliability of Rentokil-Terminix's reporting process Oversees the security and integrity of Rentokil-Terminix's financial information Perform all other duties as assigned Supporting the development of financial budgets and forecastsCANDIDATE SUMMARYRequired Experience 6+ years of experience in general accounting or finance fields Experience with multi-unit organization Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with leaders and act as a partner on allfinancial related decisions. Able to work independently. Possess strong attention to detail, complete work accurately and is highly organized. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Communicate effectively and professionally at all times. Work with both internal and external customers to provide or obtain information. Adhere to financial reporting deadlines. Work solidly as a team with various departments including Legal, FP&A and Group Risk. Use active listening skills and empathy when interacting with others. Apply excellent interpersonal skills. Formal Education, Qualifications or Training Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience -Required Masters in finance, accounting or related field - Preferred Why Choose Us?
