In this role, you'll collaborate with us to research, develop, design, test, and document new Revvity products across various domains, harnessing your expertise in software development and seamlessly integrating hardware and software platforms to pioneer innovation and enhance efficiency in laboratory automation. Location/Days Onsite : Office Location(s): To sit preferably in our Providence, RI office and/or Hopkinton, MA locationOnsite Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software and hardware solutions for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Microfluidic Technology (MFT) automation platformsConduct thorough research and experimentation to make informed data-driven decisions. Refine software algorithms and system integration through iterative data collectionPerform functional testing and analysis of newly developed products to ensure operation and reliabilityWork across disciplines to perform activities related to coding (Python), electromechanical assembly, and molecular biologyDrive innovation by working individually and in groups in order to provide competent design solutionsCreate and edit project documents within the product development frameworkMaintain comprehensive software documentation in alignment with regulatory standards, ensuring adherence to quality and validation requirements Basic Qualifications: BS degree in a relevant discipline such as computer science, electrical/computer engineering, biomedical engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 2+ years of relevant work experienceProficiency in at least 1 programming language such as Python, Java, or C/C++ Preferred Qualifications: Experience with product development and support in a regulated environmentProven track record as a self-starter and lifelong learner, adept at developing scientific instrumentationBackground in software or system engineering with a demonstrated history of successful product launchesDemonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience in seamlessly integrating electromechanical instruments with software systemsFamiliarity with Qt Frameworks, along with mastery of software development tool chains is a plusKnowledge or experience in biotech, specifically with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), capillary electrophoresis, automated liquid-handling and bioinformatics, would be highly advantageousHighly desirable technical skillsets include experience with AI/ML frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, and expertise in cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS or Azure Travel Requirements: Opportunity for occasional travel, up to 5% of the time, for attending conferences, collaborating with vendors, and visiting customer sites, fostering invaluable connections and insights to drive our mission forward Benefits: We provide competitive and comprehensive benefits to our employees.Below are some highlights of our benefits:*Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Options*Life and Disability Insurance *Paid Time-Off*Parental Benefits*401k with Company Match*Employee Stock Purchase PlanLearn more about Revvity's benefits by visiting our Why Revvity page. #LI-TE PDN-9bffabfb-6f92-4e40-b1ab-5ec49a0a2b0d
