The ideal candidate will have experience in mediation and trial and a proactive approach to marketing the firm's services.Duties:Researching and analyzing the law on complex legal issues.Writing memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.Marketing personal and firm services to prospective clients.Performing discovery of various electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation.Conducting due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, mergers, and acquisitions.Communicating and advising clients on legal matters.Managing a schedule to accommodate consultations and achieve production/collection objectives.Closing consultations within the firm's range of 30-50%, depending on the practice area.Timely approval of invoices is critical to the health of the business on a month-to-month basis.Ensuring support staff are fully utilized and productive.Accurately and completely updating CC with fees, engagement, trust, client information, invoices, etc., as required.Sharing work tasks with other attorneys and support staff if over-subscribed ensures the firm meets objectives to serve communities.Actively engaging in personal and firm brand expansion through blogs, social media posts, board and organization participation, etc.Actively seeking positive comments from successful client engagements and positive star reviews.Performing other job-related duties as assigned.Requirements:Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.Excellent legal research skills.Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to WA Bar.3+ years of experience as an attorney.Certifications:None specified.Skills:Mediation experience (highly preferred).Trial experience (preferred).Marketing skills.Time management and scheduling.Communication and client advising.Team management and collaboration.Job Location: Seattle, WABenefits offered:Insurance: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.Retirement: 401(k) plan with company matching.Paid time off: Unlimited PTO for Vacation/Sick days, Paid Federal Holidays.Paid Volunteer Time Off: Up to 16 hours annually.
