Must be willing to work onsite 3x a weekOur client, coveted skincare brand in NYC is searching for a Senior Packaging Designer to join their amazing in-house Creative Team. First and foremost - you are a graphic designer who loves all things packaging with a keen eye for layout, color, type, imagery and patterns. We are not your typical Luxury Beauty brand - so you are able to decipher and embrace our quirky brand codes and deliver designs per the brief, but also willing to push boundaries and innovate while respecting the integrity of the brand. You are conceptual, self-driven and hands-on through to project delivery.-Graphic/Packaging designer to create package designs for skincare launches, seasonal programs, collateral, gift sets - experience in Beauty/Luxury industry a plus but not required.-Must be able to take ownership of projects from inception through production including final mechanicals.-Follow and uphold brand guidelines and work within the brand codes, however you can (and we encourage you to) push boundaries an experiment within our creative sandbox.-Exceptional at rendering (not 3D) concepts in AI or Photoshop - retouching capabilities are a must, organized with meticulous attention to details.-Team player who is comfortable working with both creative and cross functional team members.-Attend meetings, work directly with project manager on project needs and timelines-Effective verbal and written communicator-ALL designers are expected to work on everything from line extensions, basic mechanicals to larger global hallmark programs. Leave egos at the door.-Self-starter who is able to manage their own time- will be part a team but needs to have the ambition to keep things moving.-Timelines are tight and there are very quick turn-around - we are looking for someone who cankeep a cool head and is able to function in high-pressure situations.-Must have a great eye for color - able to review and provide feedback on color proofs, color matching samples etc...Qualifications:-Graphic designer with at least 5 years of experience-Portfolio demonstrates branding/graphic and packaging designs - show work relevant but not limited to the Luxury Beauty/Fashion market-Proficient in mechanical creation and typesetting-Exceptional knowledge of print, file preparation for print and on-press experience-Expert in Adobe Creative Suites - Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign-Meticulous 2D rendering and concept retouching capabilities are a must-Comfortable and familiarity creating DTO's (Design Turn-Overs) - be able to visualize packagingstructures and construction and translate-Illustration, hand drawing or pattern creation skills a plusThe target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $55 to $60 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
