Work independently with business leaders to scope and conduct analyses that help the organization understand and monitor performance, break down key drivers, and identify new opportunities. Lead analytic projects such as vendor partnerships, development of predictive analytic tools, or data validation work streams:o Serve as primary analyst dedicated to identifying opportunities/providing datasets for bulk merges related to vendors Master Patient Index algorithm.o Produce lists of members not meeting certain quality measures for operations team to drive strategy in partnership with vendor offering services to close clinical gaps.o Run a quarterly member re-attribution process by running custom SQL code to identify primary care utilization patterns across the Medicaid ACO program.o Serve on the steering committee for the System Analytics departments first-ever code library and contribute code standards for using MassHealth 834 data. Act as technical and analytic expert for the System Analytics team, including:o Consolidate disparate provider hierarchies into one combined, clean view for use in various reporting.o Develop and maintain standard queries to classify encounters as primary care versus specialty care and to identify the provider affiliation on claims.o Own attribution algorithm for Medicare beneficiaries. Run on quarterly basis to identify provider/group information for assigned beneficiaries to BMCs Medicare ACO.o Create a unified member level view of members falling into quality measures through BMCs risk contracts.o Have a strong understanding of where to locate and how to pull the following data elements member attribution, member demographic info, provider assignment, quality measures, cost & utilization metrics, and more. Mentor, train, and onboard new analysts to the team:o Assist with access to database systems.o Show where to find and how to link key concepts such as Member ID fields, primary care provider information. Present analyses to senior leaders and ACO partners and provider sites:o Present all components of the All Payer Quality Dashboard including how to use the various Tableau functionalities (filtering, radio buttons, exporting), data source, payer thresholds, etc.o Present Member Swap Analysis to key operations stakeholders including methodology, data summary, and impact. Create reports and dashboards that effectively communicate performance to operational and clinical leaders and stakeholders including designing, implementing, and running a monthly Tableau dashboard showing quality performance across multiple measures and contracts for different qualify programs as well as developing and maintaining dashboard in Tableau that shows membership across multiple Medicaid ACO programs. Manage multiple projects and analyses simultaneously while meeting key deadlines and deliverables, and prioritizing time and resources including refreshing multiple monthly standard reports post vendors database refreshes. Translate complex analysis into simple visualizations that can communicate key takeaways to leaders and stakeholders. Understand health system data sources and support data architecture team to ensure that data is clean, normalized, and accurate. Establish credibility and trust in data integrity and accuracy across internal and external stakeholders. Identify and elevate key obstacles for intervention that may jeopardize timelines. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related analytical field. Three (3) years of Data Analytics experience working with large data sets to answer important clinical, operational, or business questions, including two (2) years working with medical claims data in managed healthcare or insurance operations. The stated experience must also include: (1) conducting advanced analytics using SAS and SQL; (2) using MS Excel spreadsheets to create, view, edit and share data files; and (3) creating data visualizations through a business intelligence tool.
