Sheakley is hiring a construction safety manager for our client in Cincinnati, OH. Our client is one of the nation's leading construction contracting firms. Compensation Package: $100000/year Staffing Type: Direct Hire W2 Full Benefits Scope of Work: As the Safety Manager with our client, you will take a hands-on approach to developing, leading, and continuously improving our safety programs and training to ensure a World-Class safety culture in our organization. You will take ownership and lead the organization's efforts on compliance, reduce risk, and identify and implement improvements related to safety. Position approx Start: ASAP Position Hours/Schedule: M-F 40hrs/wk **Certification Requirements** : Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred CSP, ASP, CHST or OHST or similar designation preferred dive or marine safety experience and working knowledge of dive industry requirements for equipment preferred Principal Duties & Responsibilities : Do you have the ability to influence and motivate others to create and maintain a safe work environment? You will take ownership and lead the organization's efforts on compliance, reduce risk, and identify and implement improvements related to safety. The successful candidate will be an influential leader who can train and implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Other requirements include: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred CSP, ASP, CHST or OHST or similar designation preferred 5 plus years of dive or marine safety experience and working knowledge of dive industry requirements for equipment Knowledge or background in the construction industry preferred Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, claims handling, accident investigation, and insurance programs and policies In-depth understanding of ADCI, USCG, NFPA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable regulations preferred Experienced with training safety related programs and leading of positive change Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, and other basic office applications. Ability to travel to project sites Ability to respond to afterhours emergencies Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and to proactively identify issues, offer and implement solutions
