Essential Function The Field Director of LP is responsible for protecting company assets and the strategic direction of identifying and quantifying company exposure in both shrink and total retail loss that are impacting business units within SBH. This role requires setting direction and long-term focus on loss, creating a vision and road map to reduce loss within the company while also anticipating future trends based on data and other components of loss (i.e., Internal, External, Operational) The Field Director of LP will supervise all aspects of internal and external investigations, including ORC and major crimes, as well as ensuring the proper supervision, training, and development of all LP personnel. The Field Director of LP will have effective partnerships with other cross-functional teams, as well as the VPs of Store Operations, Legal, HR, RD's, and DMs to ensure collaborative partnerships and engagements are effective, influential, and actionable in helping keep our team members and customers safe and reducing losses. The Field Director of LP will ensure accurate and timely submission of all required reports and will effectively handle all other duties assigned by the VP of Loss Prevention. The Field Director of LP must be results oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills; have the highest level of personal integrity; and provide direction and leadership to their direct reports. Other essential functions: Manage LP Budgets, develops action plans for loss initiatives, manage all third-party relationships pertaining to field loss prevention and safety. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with law enforcement (criminal & civil matters). Primary Duties Business initiatives/Insights: Based on analysis draw inferences and summarize information to build informed decisions and partnerships within the business to reduce exposure of loss Build collaborative partnership across all levels of the organization and navigate the Support Center to maximize all available resources to support the field teams Monitors and measures implementation and execution. Keeps senior and field leadership informed of successes and opportunities Monitors, reviews, and reports on the adherence to Company's established operating standards for its retail units, including investigations, audits, and compliance controls Engage and keep abreast of field activities and progress by joining weekly/monthly meetings/calls. Captures and share constructive feedback based on field observations Responsible for mentoring, managing, and working directly with the RLPMS to ensure constant partnership and collaboration with all cross functional teams, including Store Ops, HR, Real Estate, DC/Transportation, and Legal Ensures RLPMS are informed and trained on key initiatives and are prepared to successfully influence and lead with consistent execution P & L - Expense Management and Travel Manages expenses within established budgets and allocates and prioritizes the use of resources in a way which maximizes their benefit to the company. Responsible for all RLPM budgets and allocations, including travel expenses Work with finance partners to maintain budget accuracy and credible forecasting capabilities Leverage reporting to identify sales, expense, and productivity opportunities. Share actionable insights with field leadership for implementation Works independently and prioritizes effectively to ensure the right constituents are informed and collaboratively working toward long term solves of issues identified and are looking for continuous process improvement (cross functionally with other teams) Build and lead a high-performing team and leverage unique talents to elevate work and outputs. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional growth Drive engagement through regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings giving constructive feedback to support professional growth, development, and accountability Store Travel with RLPM's and field leadership (up to 35%) Establish feedback loop with the field to identify and prioritize areas of opportunity Work cross-functionally to root cause analyze issues that impede ease of execution and develop short-term and long-term resolutions to improve or innovate processes to support the Associate and Customer experience Facilitates and drives cross functional collaboration between own department, including, Store Ops, Merchandising, Real Estate, DC/Transportation, HR, and legal to support Stores in achieving its Sales and Shrink goals Prepare and present shrink and total retail loss analysis to the VP, Loss Prevention and Safety and other cross functional teams that focuses on trends and solves to mitigate shrink and profitability loss within SBH Stay timely with personal PPRs, IDP and Performance Review Open to ongoing forms of coaching and communication Align with your Vice President, Loss Prevention and Safety to gain additional resources for your professional development Stay current, BE COURIOUS , BE COUREGOUS , BE CONFIDENT ! Stay timely on all required corporate training and seek out others that will enhance your strength as a leader Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor's Degree or higher, preferably in Business, Criminal Justice, or other related fields Candidates must have at least 10 years of Retail Loss Prevention experience, including Regional Director/Management experience in managing teams, direct reports, and safety & security programs W-Z Certified is required Manage all payroll and expenses for direct reports, and ensure financial plans are achieved Travel to store locations is required Candidates should be familiar with loss prevention programs, various tools used, and have proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience conducting internal/external investigation interviews and managing external apprehension programs (ORC, Major Crimes) with proven ability to successfully resolve incidents is required. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work
