Summary: MDI is seeking an Electronics Technician to work out of their office in San Antonio, Texas. The person in this position works under close supervision of the Project Manager or Site Supervisor as a field representative on installations, testing, maintenance and repair of security systems to include access control and intrusion detection.Job Duties and Functions: * Install, test, maintain and repair low voltage security systems (Monitor Dynamics) as assigned which includes but is not limited to Access Control, and Intrusion Detection. * Provide field customer service to customer and represent Government Contracting Services in a professional manner. * Ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations as applicable to service, installation and maintenance of all systems, including OSHA safety standards. * Maintain vehicle, uniform and tools as the policy states for GCS staff. * Accurately complete all paperwork directly related to the service orders and projects. * Must be able to train customers on the usage of all applicable products used in installation and/or upgrades. * Must be available to travel as necessary. * Must maintain a professional appearance at all times. * Must maintain confidentiality at all times. * All other duties as assigned within your qualifications. Experience and Skills: Position Specific Requirements: * Valid state driver's license and proof of minimum liability insurance. * Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent * AA or 2+ year(s) of additional experience * Must pass pre-employment and random background, drug and MVR screening.Position Specific Preferred Requirements: * Licensed Journeyman level, low voltage technician preferred. * NICET Certification preferred * Basic installation and programming of security systems, CCTV, Access Control and other panels * Security ClearanceSupervisory Responsibilities: * This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment: * The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
