The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of related experience, possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, and hold a current license to practice law in the state of California.Duties:Research and analyze the law on complex issues and prepare briefs for submission to the Supervising Attorney(s).Analyze and summarize complicated legal documents, including contracts, and propose alterations.Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation.Conduct due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts and agreements.Evaluate potential legal liabilities for clients based on legal precedents.Advise clients on business transactions, claim liability, and legal rights and obligations.Represent clients in court or before government agencies.Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for case presentations.Gather evidence by interviewing clients and witnesses and examining public records.Collaborate with colleagues specializing in relevant legal areas to establish bases for legal proceedings.Maintain communication with clients concerning representation as needed.Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.Complete special projects as assigned.Supervise Legal Secretaries and Paralegals as required.Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.Requirements:2-7 years of related experience.Juris Doctor (JD) degree.Current license to practice law in the state of California.Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Persuasion and negotiation abilities.Strong time management and organizational skills.Attention to detail.Proficiency in computer skills and legal software.
