Job Title: Automation Comm Specialist -Woodlands, TX Schedule: 9/80 (Mon & Fri remote and Tue-Thu in office) Location: Woodlands, TX (Must live within a 50-mile radius of the customer's office) Danos Expectations: A successful candidate will exhibit characteristics that support the following: * Safety Awareness * Work Ethic * Technical Skill * Customer Focus * Open Communication * Implementing Vision and Values Responsibilities: Mid-Level + expert level insight from wisdom gained through experience to offer alternative solutions in automation network design and philosophies, advanced abilities troubleshooting automation network infrastructure. Applies knowledge in design reviews and process hazard analysis. A subject matter expert. * Requires occasional offshore travel to deepwater facilities. * Requires travel to attend meetings and FAT's throughout the gulf coast * Install, program, maintain or repair automation network and security system. * In depth understanding of automation network control systems * Proficient in Allen Bradley PLC programming, HMI development and network structure * Testing and checking the system for weakness in software and hardware. * Maintain firewalls, VPN's, servers, and switches. * Configure and install security infrastructure devices. * Ability to communicate and report network security issues to upper management. * Configure and troubleshoot operating systems associated with computers, servers, and other OT devices. Qualifications: * 2-year Instrumentation or Automation technology degree with a GPA of 2.5 or higher (or foreign equivalent), or equivalent technical working experience with a good track record of safety. * 7+ years' experience with automation network control systems. * 5+ years of Oil Field experience with offshore experience preferred. * Advanced knowledge of firewalls, VPN's, servers, and switches. * Advance knowledge of configuration and installation of security infrastructure devices. * Advanced knowledge of maintaining Allen Bradley PLC programs in function block, ladder logic, and structured text. * Advanced knowledge of HMI development and network structures. * Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Windows Operating Systems. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with management, technical, and field personnel. * Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals. * Listens actively and invites new ideas for exchanged opinions, then influences, and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results.
