The Medicaid Planning Assistant makes a meaningful difference in the lives of aged and disabled individuals by assisting them in accessing vital Medicaid benefits and services such as the Institutional Care Program (ICP), Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB), and Medicaid waiver benefits. Responsibilities:• Act as a reliable advocate for clients in Boca Raton, FL, guiding them through the Medicaid application process effectively.• Support the implementation of strategies and ensure the timely submission of necessary application/documentation for Medicaid benefits.• Manage a caseload of clients in Boca Raton, FL, offering continuous assistance and support throughout the Medicaid eligibility process.• Collaborate with attorneys, government agencies, and community partners in Boca Raton, FL, to gather essential information, coordinate benefits, and effectively advocate for clients' needs.• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, application status, and benefit approvals with meticulous attention to detail. Qualifications:• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred for this Medicaid Specialist position in Boca Raton, FL, US.• Previous experience with the Medicaid eligibility process and/or Medicaid planning is required.• The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Medicaid regulations, eligibility criteria, and application procedures, especially as they relate to aged and disabled populations.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to establish rapport with clients effectively.• Being highly organized with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently is crucial for success in this role.• Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation systems is necessary.• While not mandatory, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred for the Medicaid Specialist position.
