Our client is actively seeking a full-time Landscape Planner I to join our Raleigh, NC office. This position is open to new graduates with up to 2 years of experience. Our client's renowned landscape architecture and land planning studio specializes in providing comprehensive consulting and design services to clients in urban, commercial, parks and recreation, economic development, environmental, transportation, residential, and government sectors across various markets. They are looking for candidates who are creative, open-minded, collaborative, motivated, and possess strong design, graphic, and written communication skills. Key Responsibilities of the successful candidate include, but are not limited to: * Collaborating with both public and private sectors on a diverse range of project types * Assisting project teams in developing landscape plans from schematic design to construction documents and specifications * Aiding in the preparation of cost estimates and construction takeoffs * Creating detailed master planning documents and illustrative design plans * Working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary design teams Skills/Requirements of the successful candidate include, but are not limited to: * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program (preferred) * Non-accredited degree in Landscape Design with 0 to 4 years of experience may be considered * Ideally, 1-3 years of professional experience * Strong hand graphic skills and a solid foundation in computer graphic design * Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3-D), SketchUp, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign). Experience with GIS is a bonus. * Proficient in writing reports, technical documents, and general correspondence * Excellent communication skills for interactions with internal and external clients, as well as collaboration with colleagues * Problem-solving ability for tackling challenging design and technical issues * Must be creative, open-minded, willing to learn, and organized Qualifications and Additional Information: The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
