You will be working with a small, dedicated team that works closely for and with the U.S. Department of Energy to serve all federal agencies. This team helps the federal government reduce greenhouse gas emissions, become more energy efficient, increase the use of clean, renewable energy, help American industry in a competitive energy technology world market among other important benefits. Overview: The Integrated Building Deployment and Analysis (IBDA) Group in the Buildings and Transportation Science Division (BTSD) at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking applicants for a Federal Project Executive (FPE) that focuses on alternatively financed federal projects. In furtherance of the Department of Energy (DOE), Federal Energy Management's (FEMP's) responsibility, this role serves all federal agencies. The FPE performs outreach, training and project support in the area of Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC) and Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESCs) for federal facilities worldwide. This position augments ORNLs team operating in support of FEMP, which facilitates the federal governments implementation of sound, cost:effective energy management and investment practices to enhance the nations energy security and environmental stewardship. This position would be a part of ORNL's team to facilitate and support multi:million:dollar performance contracting projects and project development for federal agency customers. In addition to FPE responsibilities, the successful applicant will provide technical support and analysis of various aspects of federal energy management for FEMP. The IBDA Group works to optimize the energy performance of commercial, institutional, and residential buildings through applied research, technical assistance, and technology deployment. The team's comprehensive knowledge of buildings and energy use spans multi:building sites, whole:building systems, system components and building equipment. Job Duties and Responsibilities: :Project support:stylelist:style:type:circle::Provide project support to federal agencies for performance contracting to achieve energy and environmental goals.:Advise agencies on FEMP policy and best practices in ESPC and UESC.:Conduct executive briefings for FEMP program upper management.:Identify project needs and coordinate FEMP resources.:Assist agencies in overcoming barriers and avoiding de:scoping of project measures.:Monitor and report progress on alternative financing project portfolios.:Interact with Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) on process and program topics.:Assist in implementing DOE priority initiatives.:Program support:stylelist:style:type:circle::Act as FEMPs subject matter expert on E
