POSITION DESCRIPTION: Supervises employees spending the majority of their time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees work. Signs and seals final drawings, test plans, procedures, specifications, test reports, or documents under the area of Pavements. Supervises staff and manages the engineering activities associated with the statewide Pavement Structural Testing and Evaluation program. Effectively and efficiently delivers managed services including reports on findings, implementation plans, policies, specifications and procedures. Continually re:assesses program needs and appropriateness/relevancy of related activities and deliverables to provide a safe, durable, and economical roadway system. Oversees the daily activities associated with the Pavement Structural Testing and Evaluation program including Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) testing. Manages related consulting activities as appropriate.
