Position Overview: Looking for Tugboat captains with experience building bridges, fenders, and trestles on the water. Experience in driving piles, sheeting, building coffer dams and template fabrication are all tasks to expect to be asked to perform, while on the dock builder crew as a tugboat captain. Responsibilities: Operate tug boat to move barges Ability to move large barges in fast currents Ability to weld and fabricate a plus Experience with driving piles and sheeting a plus Ability to work from barges Ability to rig picks Ability to work in a crew Requirements: Possess tug boat license (up to 100 ton) Possess NJ Boater Safety certification Ability to enter crew when not operating tug boat Experience being a deck hand Crane operator NCCCO license a plus Equipment operator a plus Welding certification to D1.5 level a plus Ability to problem solve Ability to work on projects in NJ and Southeast PA area Perks (At least the following): Prevailing wages in NJ and PA Great medical benefits available Retirement plan available Vacation checks on a regular basis Ability to advance on the Matrix Travel allowances available for higher levels Training options available Paid vacation days for higher levels
