Full job description American Key Supply is a growing wholesale, business-to-business master distributor of locksmith supplies and other security-related goods. We are looking to hire 1 Warehouse Associate PICKER position on a full-time basis. The Warehouse Associate Picker position is responsible for ensuring that all production, order picking, shipping and receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and on time. Warehouse Associate - Picking, Production and Shipping - This position will be cross-trained to work in the the Picking, Production and Shipping Departments of our main warehouse. This staff member will focus on PICKING. Additionally, the position will help the Production & Shipping Departments as needed. A Warehouse Associate position will require long periods of time, sitting, walking and standing to keep up with sales demands. Please read the entire job listing)*** Warehouse Associate General Core Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Responsible for understanding all processes in production, picking, pinning, item stocking, shipping/receiving operations to ensure quality fulfillment servicesPrepare paperwork and assemble orders for shipmentProcess daily orders from local warehouse for disbursementUtilize web-based shipping interface to create labels for daily shipmentsAssess shipping time frames for customers in a variety of locations to determine best method of deliveryUtilize proprietary shipping software to monitor and assist in the daily maintenance of order requestsTrack and maintain adequate supply of all item codesEnsure all product is restocked according to established proceduresUtilize prior work experience to help implement and refine existing processesPrioritize departmental organization in order to expedite all production, order picking, shipping and receiving activitiesAssist in cycle counting and physical inventory counts on a periodic basisEngage with customers over the telephone or via e-mail to place and fulfill ordersMaintain steady and reliable communication with all customers in order to determine and satiate their needsMaintain a clean, organized and safe work area; comply with all safety and quality policiesJob Requirements: Basic math, reading, and communication skillsMust be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions (In English)Must be able to meet production, picking, shipping and receiving minimumsAbility to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracyAbility to work in a team environmentCurrent forklift certification and/or ability to become certifiedAbility to lift/move up to 40-50 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environmentPhysical requirements include: lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, twisting, kneeling, and standing for long periods of timeAbility to read labels, packing slips and other common warehouse documents to ship product and fulfill ordersPrior warehouse production, picking, shipping and receiving experience REQUIREDDemonstrated proficiency in computer applications used to place, process, create, and submit ordersEffective communicatorAttentive to detail and works well under pressureReliable transportation is REQUIREDRegular and punctual attendanceSelf-motivated and organizedRespectful and non-threatening treatment of othersAll other duties assignedWe offer medical, dental and vision insurance plans.
