Summary Attend to children at Agape Center for Care. Perform a variety of tasks, such as dressing, feeding, bathing, and overseeing play. Duties Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts. Sanitize toys and play equipment. Observe and monitor children's play activities. Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered. Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits. Read to children and teach them simple painting, drawing, crafts, and songs. Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas. Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas. Dress children and change diapers. Help children with homework. Perform housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, dish washing, and changing of linens. Maintain a safe play environment. Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues. Assist in preparing food and serving meals and refreshments to children. Perform general administrative tasks. Requirements Arrange childcare or educational settings to ensure physical safety of children. Discuss child development and behavior with parents or guardians. Prepare foods or meals. Perform administrative or clerical tasks. Clean tools or equipment. Teach daily living skills or behaviors. Discuss child development and behavior with parents or guardians. Teach health or hygiene practices. Nice To Haves 6 months programmatic experience. Benefits Personal Time Off: One year of service earns eight (8 hour) paid days off Two to five years of service earns thirteen (8 hour) paid days off Five+ years of service earns eighteen (8 hour) paid days off Worker?s compensation insuranceUnemployment insuranceAfter 60 days of employment, Agape Center for Care will pay half of the premium of an approved market health insurance plan for the staff member only.
