Employer details- BC0641078 Playland Daycare Centre Job details Location- 7081 Grant Road West Sooke, BC V9Z 0N6Salary- $23.00 hourly plus $4.00 per hour wage enhancement / 33 hours per Week Terms of employment- Permanent employment , Full time, Day, Morning, Overtime Start date- Starts as soon as possible Vacancies -2 vacancies Languages-English Education- Other trades certificate or diploma Experience- 1 to less than 7 months Work site environment- Noisy Work setting- Child care Centre Responsibilities Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers, Storytelling, Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest, Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts, provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity, Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor, backss the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members, Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours Supervision- 5-10 people Education Certificates- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate Transportation/travel information- Public transportation is available Work conditions and physical capabilities- Repetitive tasks, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling Personal suitability- Punctuality, Dependability, Excellent oral communication, Reliability, Team player Employment groups Help - Employment groups- This.
