Part Time HGV Driver - Class 1 & 2Job Type: Part Time, Year Round Location: Southend-On-Sea or Dagenham Area Salary: £16+ per hour About the role: Role involves working for various customers year-round. Driving trucks ranging from 7.5T to 44T depending on your licenses. Flexibility in choosing types of work rigid/artic available. Rigid work entails day shifts and returning home in the evening. Company vans can be provided for travel between Shoeburyness and our other depots. Articulated work primarily tramping; but day driver options also available. Advance notice for nights out on articulated work usually week 1 for week 2. Outline of the work: You will either be doing: Palletised multi-drop rigid work, 7.5-18T. Working the ports on containers. Delivering/ collecting unaccompanied curtain siders. Start times and location for the work would be issued the week prior. You’d drive into one of our Esinteraction depots Monday mornings dependant on what job you were allocated too. Park your car securely and begin your day/week’s work, calling the customer on arrival to your first drop/collection all numbers and other relevant info. will be issued to you on employment. Or there is the potential to drive to our depot in Shoeburyness, Southend-On-Sea and use one of our company vans. Your jobs will continue to be allocated to you throughout the week via us or the customer you are working for if covering more than one shift. Communication with the customer is essential – any delays, issues, or relevant info. need to be passed on. Required for the job: Willingness to be flexible on a weekly basis. Possess a good knowledge of rigid or articulated work both would be even better. ADR in packages/ tanks would be a benefit. UK and European driving experience, again, would be a benefit. Managing your hours and complying with the laws set out by the DVSA are all essential parts of this job. We look after our trucks, and we expect you to do the same. If the.
