In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate results for the Funjet brand in accordance with all established timelines. A successful Senior Accountant will: Complete monthly journal entries for the assigned brand necessary to ensure an accurate and timely financial statement close process which is in alignment with the company close schedule Submit timely and accurate account reconciliations, ensuring alignment with US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley controls Analyze month-end results against prior year, budget and/or forecast and provide explanations for major variances Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data Provide input to the Financial Planning and Analysis team to support the forecasting and budgeting processes, as required Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a manager A successful Senior Accountant will have: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required (Master's, along with a CPA license, preferred) Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience CPA license, preferred Strong ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally, as well as strong organizational skills Detailed-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and within a diverse, inclusive team environment Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, with strict adherence to deadlines Committed to, and accountable for, delivering results Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements Ability and willingness to work and learn in a fast-paced corporate environment for a publicly-traded company Ability to take initiative and proactively offer quality ideas for process improvements Proficiency in MS Office packages, including Word and Excel Proficiency in SAP preferred About Apple Leisure Group As North America's only vertically integrated travel, hospitality and leisure management group, Apple Leisure Group is an industry innovator that combines the expertise of 14 leading brands.
