Job Title Team Member, Process Engineering - GlaxoSmithKline LLC Details Work as part of a multi-disciplinary development team, liaising efficiently with Formulators, Engineers, Modelers, PAT scientists, Materials Scientists and Particle Scientists to deliver the work packages required to understand drug product unit operations and scale these up effectively. Responsible for ensuring the delivery of Drug Product technology transfer activities and reports as appropriate for transfer to the manufacturing site (internal or external). Expected to make innovative contributions to the department by providing experimental data, technical insight, and modelling of data to solve complex process development problems using practical and theoretical understanding. Duties will include actively participating in and leading technical reviews on projects, contributing to the technical transfer of processes, including the leadership of technical transfer activities on behalf of the discipline, and participating in internal or external technical focus networks, external collaborations with academics and applying knowledge of the current literature. In addition, responsible for facilitating sound decision-making in matrix teams and technical governance through depth of technical knowledge and effective communication. As well, will author sections of regulatory documents relevant to Process Engineering platforms. Basic Qualifications Must have a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Chemical Engineering or a closely related technical field plus 2 years of experience in each of the following: Steriles product development, scale-up, and technical transfer for early phase clinical drug product. Evaluating manufacturing equipment. Application of pharmaceutical drug product development laboratory equipment. Technical reviews on projects and contributing to the technical transfer of processes for early phase clinical manufacture. Must be able to commute to office location up to 3 days per week.
