Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Summer 2024 intern in Global Supply Chain. The selected individual will:Status, manage, expedite, coordinate, and beaccountable in ensuring all parts and hardware aredelivered on-time to support Lockheed Martin'sproduction line. Additionally, the individual will needto strategically look forward (120 days) and forecastthe delivery of critical hardware to mitigatemanufacturing impacts, work and resolve supplierand engineering issues, and implement proactivestrategies to assure timely and compliant hardwaredeliveries. Another responsibility will be to present toSenior Management regarding hardware shortagesand delays, and recovery plan / strategy - includingchart deck creation for the presentation.Other activities will include with being involved in ensuring timely placement of Purchase Orders to suppliers, monitoring and expediting hardware deliveries, and working technical and quality issues at the suppliers.The candidate will be able to broaden their communications skills through their interface the various Lockheed Martin Programs and the Southeastern Material Acquisition Center (SEMAC) buying team, as well as being a valuable member of the programs multi-functionalteam (Engineering, Quality, Finance, ProgramManagement, Contract, etc.) to ensure the programis meeting their Company and Customercommitments. Basic Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Technical Related Degree, Accounting or similar degree Desired Skills: * Prefer studies in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Technical Related Degree, Accounting or similar degree, but open to other areas.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Demonstrated critical thinking / problem solvingabilities* Able to multi-task several critical assignments at both time and ability to work both independently andwithin a team structure* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Power Point, Word, Excel)* Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment* Be empowered to work independently to pursue resolving problems* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate with various functional groups* Quick learner who enjoys working challenging tasks* Ability to interact with senior management, suppliers, and other external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between functional organizations Clearance Level: None Other Important Information You Should Know Expression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
