We're seeking a dedicated Community School Coordinator to champion student success and family stability through a two-generational approach. In this role, you'll orchestrate a vibrant network of services, interventions, and community collaborations within a school setting. By identifying needs, cultivating relationships, and reducing barriers, you'll play a pivotal role in enriching the lives of students and families. Day in the Life of a Community School Coordinator: Your days will be dynamic and fulfilling, starting with aligning services and resources with identified student and family needs. You'll curate a diverse schedule of programs and services available during school hours, after-hours, and weekends, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. As a relationship-builder, you'll coordinate volunteers, facilitate community events, and manage space allocations for service providers and partners. Data-driven insights will guide you as you evaluate assessment data, make referrals, and identify potential partnerships.Your collaborative spirit will shine as you organize and engage with a community council, school committees, and diverse stakeholders. Funding opportunities won't escape your keen eye; you'll explore potential avenues, prepare funding requests, and manage grants to sustain and expand our programs. Acting as a liaison, you'll foster open communication between school administrators, parents, teachers, and service providers, while also resolving any issues related to service delivery. Regularly collecting and analyzing data ensures that our services evolve to meet the changing needs of our school and community. You Would Thrive in this Position If: - You hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in social services or education.- You bring two to five years of experience in social service or educational environments.- You excel in dynamic, collaborative settings, balancing independent work with team collaboration.- You possess knowledge of the Near Eastside neighborhood resources and demographics.- You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with grant experience being a plus.- You exhibit strong organizational, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.- You can build and maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders.- You're adept at multitasking, project management, and event coordination.- You're tech-savvy, with knowledge of software applications for data management.- You demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and good judgment, especially in sensitive situations.- You have access to personal, reliable transportation.- You're flexible with your schedule, capable of working day, evening, and weekend hours as needed.If you're ready to make a difference in the lives of students and families while working in a supportive, collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you!
