The ideal candidate will have 7 years of experience in civil litigation defense, with expertise in Insurance Defense being advantageous. The role involves managing a substantial caseload, drafting legal documents, conducting research, and representing clients in court proceedings.Job Details:Handle a substantial caseload of litigation matters.Draft, prepare, and handle pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda.Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions.Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency.Prepare and take depositions of parties and experts.Review client documents, draft case evaluations, and status report correspondence.Assist with and participate in mediations and court appearances.Manage multiple case files successfully in a busy environment.Demonstrate strong legal research and analytical skills.Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.Maintain strong attention to detail with superb organization and prioritization skills.Ability to move efficiently from case to case.Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures.Requirements:7 years of experience in civil litigation defense.Broad experience in Insurance Defense preferred.Experience in employment, banking, intellectual property, and construction litigation is a plus.Must be licensed to practice in Missouri and Kansas state and federal courts.Additional state admissions are advantageous.
