Job Summary: Technician will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing new refrigeration systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance. Technician may also be required to advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units. Technician should have advance knowledge of HVAC and Refrigeration Systems, strong mechanical and excellent troubleshooting skills. Ultimately, a refrigeration mechanic lead expertly installs, repairs, and maintains refrigeration equipment for all commercial kitchen and F/B outlets within casino with at least amount of time. Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 5 years of Commercial Refrigeration/HVAC Maintenance and installation. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team. Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift or if a emergency arises. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Previous experience as a refrigeration technician. HVAC Certifications. Must have strong skills in braising and soldering. Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications. Must have universal EPA Certification for refrigerants. RETA Certification recommended. Essential Job Functions: Processing and completing work orders. Contacting leaders in casino to ascertain their equipment needs. Ordering equipment supplies, repair modules and sundries for the order. Reading, interpreting blueprints and compliance schematics. Installing climate control systems, refrigeration units, ice machines, and beverage equipment. Observing and testing newly installed systems. Troubleshooting refrigeration equipment failures. Maintaining stock level. Managing refrigerant levels and stock. Replacing worn seals, outer shells, and worn-out motors. Informing management of repair costs and alternated cooling options. Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands: Must be capable of maneuvering for prolonged periods of time, both inside and outside sometimes in temperatures more than 115 degrees or cold temperatures below 10 degrees. Must possess coordination and dexterity to work with power and hand tools such as drills, electric saws, hammers, etc. Respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to stoop, bend, jump, and carry heavy loads. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Able to maneuver on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs. Must be able to think clearly and respond calmly in situations. Pay: $37 per hour, depending on experience.We operate in a 24/7 environment that continuously operates year-round and that is driven by the needs of our customers and guests. The nature of this role requires working a non-traditional work schedule in order to successfully execute activities and programs and create a world-class experience for our guests.
