Cook Full Time - Days ** Up to$18.60/hour - based on experience ** United Methodist Communities is currently seeking a Cook for The Shores , our Senior Care Community located in Ocean City, NJ within picturesque Cape May County. Requirements for a Cook: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Two years of cooking and and meal preparation. 3-4 years of related work experience. No supervisory experience required. Responsibilities for a Cook: Ensures quality meal preparation including the following: consistency, presentation, flavor and temperature. Ensures safe food preparation including: receiving, storage, cooking, service, holding, cleaning and sanitation of tools and work space. Fiscal stewardship of resident spends by following recipes, preparing food quantities as instructed, batch cooking and using proper cooking methods and techniques. Integral part of the production team supporting all dining programs (catering, events, retail, etc.).
