At Consortium Print Group, we're currently on the lookout for a dedicated pressman who can seamlessly integrate into our production workflow. We're specifically seeking someone with expertise in operating Ryobi and Hamada 1 & 2 color presses. The ideal candidate will not only possess the technical skills required for the job but also demonstrate a high level of organization and commitment to maintaining precision quality in document reproduction. Our team prides itself on delivering top-notch service while adhering to tightly managed production schedules. Responsibilities: Reviewing and understanding production work orders; communicating with other departments, staff members, and customers to gather any additional information needed to complete the job to the customers' expectations. Operating production equipment. Cross-train on other presses as directed/scheduled by Production manager. Continuously monitor quality of product being produced and before order is pulled from press, ensure perfect samples have been retained Complete paperwork accurately and entirely. Communicate to production manager immediately of any material shortages, defective material/components, mechanical issues, excess spoilage, or incomplete job information. Communicate any quality concerns to shipping department for each job. Maintain a clean work area and equipment on a daily basis. Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual preventative maintenance of equipment. Monitor pressroom supplies for assigned equipment and work area. Notify Production Manager of low inventory of supplies. Work closely with Pre-press Technician on color correction and press checks. Qualifications: Experience operating offset presses. Able to understand a print production work order and determine what steps are needed to produce a wide variety of printing projects. Operate press(es) following make-ready and run procedures while striving to meet or improve on estimated run times and waste allowances while maintaining quality standards. Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing as you will be interacting directly with customers and other departments to coordinate print projects. Comfortable performing basic computer maintenance. Strong file management and organizational skills. Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and able to work on multiple projects at once while maintaining a calm composure. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Additional Duties as assigned.
