Summary: As a Strategy & Growth Intern , you will work closely with our Product, Strategy & Analytics, and Growth Marketing teams. You will support the team through identifying user insights and running competitive analyses to develop initiatives and experiments which support product growth. You will work closely with our Product Manager, Growth and Monetization to drive subscriber growth, retention and reduce churn.Under Surfline’s “Work from Anywhere” policy, this position may be performed on a full-time remote basis from California or a variety of locations in the US. **Applicants must be able to receive academic credit for this internship opportunity** What You'll Do: User Research: Coordinate and schedule user interviews and focus groups to understand needs, pain points, and behaviors. Create and launch surveys to gather quantitative data on user preferences and satisfaction. Analyze data from interviews, focus groups, and surveys to identify trends and insights. Growth: Identify opportunities for product improvements based on user feedback and data analysis. Conduct competitive analysis to understand the landscape and identify growth opportunities. Perform product teardowns to assess strengths and weaknesses and propose new feature solutions. Assist in A-B testing of product features, marketing messaging, and other initiatives. What You'll Learn: Product Management: Learn how to develop product growth experiments, prioritize initiatives and launch features. User Research: Hands on experience coordinating interviews, focus groups, and surveys, and identifying insights. Product Strategy: Build a product-led growth skillset by analyzing market trends, industry best practices, and understanding user behavior to inform strategic decisions. What We're Looking For: Enthusiasm for the values and culture of Surfline. Current college student pursuing a degree in business and-or marketing. Professional communication skills, self-motivation, organization, attentive to details. Ability to independently prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well within a team and eager to take initiative. Ability to dream big and think outside of the box.
