General Information: Job title: Nursing Home Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Location: Fair View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Mauston, WI Schedules Available: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period Weekend rotation: As needed Holiday rotation: Paid Time Off for Holidays Position Summary: The Nursing Home Assistant Director of Nursing position is responsible for patient care, management, coordination and directing of daily activities in the absence of the Director of Nursing. Position Responsibilities: Assist DON with managing day-to-day activities of the nursing department. Responsible for staff performance, staff recruitment, staff retention and staff development. Initiates the development of policies and procedures that govern nursing services under position control. Complete evaluations for direct reports. Acts as on-call person for all questions in the absence of DON. Maintain Regulatory Compliance with DHS 132 and all CMS Regulations. Perform other duties as requested. Position Requirements: Two-year degree in nursing required, four-year degree in nursing preferred. 2+ years of related work experience preferred. Supervisory experience a plus. Maintain and hold Wisconsin RN license. Must maintain a valid, current driver's license. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Possesses skills and knowledge in the following areas: strategies of nursing management, foundations of long-term care regulations, Medicare & Medicaid guidelines. Intermediate to expert proficiency with computers is required. Requires assessment, evaluation, and decision-making skills. Strong quantitative and analytical competency. Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to have continuous oral and written communication with co-workers and supervisors is essential.
