Description:

The APML supports Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems (MUAS) deployments. This non-supervisory position is performed in a typical business or home office setting with travel to deployment sites when necessary. The APML performs various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of MUAS supportability and/or maintainability programs and information systems. They are responsible for scheduling and executing onloads and offloads of assets for all deployments. The APML will work closely with VLinc Senior Coast Guard SMEs to ensure efficient and effective logistics operations. Education and Experience: BS or BA degree preferred. An additional five (5) years of operational logistics management experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree Advanced technical training through military and/or vocational schools or an associate degree with related on-the-job experience. For example, Aeronautical Engineering Officer, Maintenance Chief. Equivalent Department of Defense (DOD) or civilian education may be substituted. At least six (6) years of experience in lifecycle mission support, manned or unmanned system acquisition, or system sustainment. The ideal candidate is familiar with U.S. Coast Guard instructions and logistics tools, aviation or ship repair standards, policies and procedures and conducted planned vessel assessments. Allowable Substitution: A Demonstrated Master Logistician (DML) plus three (3) years of experience in lifecycle logistics support, manned or unmanned system acquisition, or system sustainment may be substituted for the six (6) years of experience required above. Ten (10) years of experience in Project Management. Ideal candidate is a certified Program Management Professional (PMP) and or Department of Homeland Security Acquisition Program Manager Level 2. One (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint). Essential Duties: The APML provides support to Senior Logistics Managers and Program Office APML Supervisors and Deputies across the full spectrum of ILS elements including but not limited to the following: Coordinating and overseeing movement of gear between Coast Guard deployment sites, Shield AI's facilities and forward placed material to shorten shipment times. Arranging for transportation and storage of material and equipment support the program. Developing and implementing a logistics plan for the program. Reviewing and ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of program material and supplies. Providing and facilitating USCG installation access to ensure smooth and effective movement of material and personnel on to the installation and ships as required. Identifying and developing resource requirements for total life cycle logistics support. Continuously optimizing deployed support kits for maximum efficiency. Developing unmanned system logistics support strategies. Developing logistics fielding plans for new unmanned systems and associated equipment. Developing configuration management plans for unmanned systems. Coordinating with field units to ensure they are following proper logistics procedures. Conducting on-site assessments at field units to gather information on supply and maintenance of equipment. Collecting, compiling, analyzing, investigating, researching, or applying logistics, maintenance, acquisition, or financial data and information. Develops, modifies, prepares, or validates documentation in relation to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems, and management information systems. Knowledge, Skill and Abilities: Coordinating with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules. Creating and maintaining Program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools. Facilitating technical meetings, demonstrations, and working groups with project team members, customers and stakeholders to identify and resolve issues. Building comprehensive plans, programs, special reports (including mission support documentation), briefing support studies, analysis and plans. Initiating action items and tracking the action items for the sUAS project offices Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards. Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information. Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution. Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget. Identifying and developing new mission support requirements with customer and prime contractor. Obtaining customer acceptance of project deliverables. Managing customer satisfaction within project transition period. Assisting in preparing for Quarterly and Annual Program Management Reviews Conducting post project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
