Point Solutions Group is part of a team providing software engineering expertise to our clients. We are hiring for a Senior Software Engineer to join our firm. This Software Engineer will work on the Bounty Hunter System, a Defensive Space Control Program of Record for the United States Space Force. The selected candidate will develop software solutions for advanced communications systems. The system will leverage advance engineer practices combined with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to automate system functions. Active secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI if required. Duties and Responsibilities Develops and applies advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems Conducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity Reviews literature, patents, & current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects Reviews the completion and implementation of technical products and recommends corrections May evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services May provide technical consultation to other departments May provide work leadership to lower-level employees Required Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 10+ years' software engineering related experience (minimum of 13 years if no degree) Strong knowledge with development languages such as Python, C++, Javascript, Typescript, JSX/TSX, CSS, React, RTKQuery, NodeJS. Strong familiarity with RabbitMQ/AMQP, and MongoDB. Working knowledge of current operating systems and programming languages Basic knowledge of desktop applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs DoD IAT Level II and Agile certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire US citizenship required; must have a minimum of a secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI if required Preferred Qualifications Experience with Docker or other container programs Experience with Kubernetes Clusters, both cloud based and local instances Experience with Docker Swarm or other container orchestration programs Working knowledge of Software Define Radios and/or FPGA design and development
