That is just the beginning of what we offer here at Comfort Systems USA Southwest! We are currently looking for a Sr. Pre-Construction Estimator for our Estimating Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze narratives, blueprints, project front ends, specifications, and proposals to prepare material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost budgets for prospective projects to set GMP or analyze project feasibility. Prepare and give presentations to prospective clients. Visit contractors, engineers, and architects to promote business development. Knowledge of Quick Pen and or TSI estimating software. Knowledge of MS Office products. Understanding of the HVAC/Plumbing industry inclusive the following: Local/National Codes and Standards for HVAC, Piping/Plumbing systems. Labor and material costs associated with the HVAC, Piping/Plumbing industry inclusive of SMACNA and MCAA labor standards. Knowledge of estimating HVAC/ Plumbing systems and have an estimating understanding of the opposite trade. Ability to prepare HVAC/Plumbing Budgets. Ability to calculate costs associated in preparing and utilizing square foot budgets. Prepare estimates and proposals and assist in procuring submittals. Follow up with clients on all bids and bid results. Ability to read and interpret documents such as project specifications, project front ends, and project contracts. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
