Works as a member of the Catering by Michaels culinary event staff team at Events at Independence Grove in Libertyville,IL. Party Cooks are expected to quickly and efficiently prepare, cook, and present food for service to guests. As a full service catering operation, set up and tear down are also our responsibility, therefore, the ability to work in a team environment and to work calmly and effectively under pressure is essential.Party Cooks will work under the supervison of the Party Chef to preapre appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts for both buffet and plated meals. Kitchen clean up and dish washing will often be part of the tasks assigned.Prior kitchen experience is helpful, but not necessary. English and/or Spanish is required. Must be 18 or older and have reliable transportation. Need to be able to work fast in a hectic environment without losing sight of the quality. Grooming and sanitation on the job is essential.
