The role of Security Director/Officer for Killian Hill Christian School is a full-time salaried position. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM - 3:45 PM. Additional hours will be required for after hour school events and sports programs. The overall scope of this position is to provide the safety and security of the Killian Hill Christian School Campus, faculty, staff, and student body. This position requires candidates to have the following proficiencies and skill sets, and fulfill the following duties: Demonstrate proficiency in the safety, operation, and use of firearms as the position requires the candidate to carry a firearm concealed during the course of duties during the school day. Provide documentation outlining current firearms training and certifications. Military and LEO documentation is accepted. Provide documentation showing completion of school safety training such as A.L.I.C.E. for Schools (Navigate 360). Provide continuous review and improvement of security and safety process, guidelines, and systems in place on the campus. Develop and maintain close relationship with local jurisdictions having authority (Lilburn Police Department, Gwinnett County Police Department) who will be first responders to our campus. Provide direct oversight and maintain scheduling for local traffic control on Arcado Road both morning and afternoons with Lilburn Police Department and Gwinnett County Police. Yearly review and modification of Emergency Management Operation manual in regards to school security and safety policies and procedures. Participate in and provide updated safety and security documentation for the KHCS accreditation team. Provide supervision and oversight for yearly ALICE training for the faculty and staff. Be physically fit and able to monitor and patrol the campus regularly through the school day to ensure the safety of the faculty and students. Have familiarity and a working knowledge and understanding of security systems such as door access and camera surveillance systems. Supervise and oversee car line activities on campus in the mornings and afternoons for elementary and/or secondary students. Provide onsite security at the KHCS campus and gymnasium for all KHCS basketball home games. Provide security and parking control for all after hour school events school events. Maintain and control internal and external key distribution logs for the campus.
