CareSTL Health is seeking a qualified Registered Medical Assistant to join our team! POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Medical Assistant helps promote access to high-quality care in a School Based Health Clinic setting within but not limited to: Jennings, Ritenour, Riverview Gardens, and Hazelwood School Districts. The Registered Medical Assistant will assist students and scholars by providing information, services, and assistance. This position has responsibility for demonstrating the core values of CareSTL Health: Customer Service, Community, Commitment, Compassion, and Competence. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Registered Medical Assistant may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons. Other duties may be assigned. Prepare patient for examination and assist provider with exam and procedure as needed Conduct patient intake and discharge according to policy and procedure. To ensure the best health outcome for our patients and their families Collect all forms accompanying patient and verify patient demographics Clean and decontaminate re-usable equipment for autoclave sterilization as well as set up the exam rooms Conduct patient tracking, and recall regarding abnormal tests OTHER FUNCTIONS: Patient scheduling Insurance verification Registering patients for visits Participation in School District outreach events Prep chart accurately take age appropriate vital signs Obtain and process specimens for transport to the lab Perform simple wound care and dressing changes Assist provider with complex dressing changes Administers injections as ordered by the provide Administer nebulizer treatments as ordered Assist with medical emergencies as instructed (e.g. CPR, First aid) Perform all other related assigned duties JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistant Valid registration as a Registered Medical Assistant in the State of Missouri Current CPR Certification Other : Must have reliable transportation. Additional Information: Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 11 paid holidays per year. Full benefits package.
