YOUR IMPACT AS A CASE MANAGER: As a Case Manager at Sixth Street Shelter, you will play a crucial role in providing essential services to families in need. From conducting intakes and developing family service plans to providing crisis intervention and advocating for residents, your impact will be significant. You'll have the opportunity to empower residents, promote self-sufficiency, and foster a sense of community within the shelter. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, from monitoring income information to coordinating guest speakers and field trips for residents. By maintaining accurate records, attending meetings, and engaging with the community, you'll contribute to creating a supportive and enriching environment for those seeking assistance. you will play a pivotal role in providing essential direct services to families experiencing homelessness. By developing family service plans emphasizing education and training goals, promoting self-esteem, and providing life skills education, you will contribute to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: To excel as a Case Manager at Sixth Street Shelter, candidates should possess good interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, along with creative problem-solving abilities to address their needs effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for conveying information clearly and compassionately. The ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and perform apartment inspections is crucial.
